Pony Club Competition
We hold some great competitions throughout the year, but the Pony Club competition is the High Point Officer's favourite. So long as your horse or pony is registered with A&ASP Inc., and you are a current financial member, there is no cost to enter the Pony Club competition. Yes, it's FREE.
All you need to do is ride your Appaloosa or Australian Spotted Pony at a Pony Club rally or competition to gain points. That's right, you get points just for attending. Extra points are awarded for placings.
HOW EASY IS THAT?
To enter, simply download the entry forms from the Forms & Fees page. Fill out the information and take the sheets with you to all rallies and Pony Club competitions you attend. Make sure you get an official to sign the sheets on the day. At the end of the competition year (1st July to 30th June) the forms need to be returned to A&ASP Inc. Points will be calculated and prizes will be awarded at the AGM in August.
There are two sections to enter:
1. PC/English riding events.
These include PC rallies, dressage, show jumping, horse trials, combined training days and hicksteads.
2. Special events.
These include novelties, games and navigation rides.
In addition to the two sections, the Pony Club Competition is split by age and breed. There are four divisions:
1. Appaloosa rider 14 years and over.
2. Appaloosa rider under 14 years.
3. Australian Spotted Pony rider14 years and over.
4. Australian Spotted Pony rider under 14 years.
Trophies are awarded to first place in each division, for each section (8 trophies awarded annually), with certificates awarded to sixth place. A $100 cash prize is presented to the overall winner (entrant with the most points)
