Adult Riding Club Competition
The Adult Riding Club competitions were designed to recognise the achievements of Adult Riding Club members riding Appaloosas or Australian Spotted Ponies. As long as your Appaloosa or Australian Spotted Pony is registered with A&ASP Inc., and you are a current financial member, there is no cost to enter the Adult Riding Club competition. Yes, it's FREE.
All you need to do is ride your Appaloosa or Australian Spotted Pony at an Adult Riding Club rally or competition to gain points. That's right, you get points just for attending. Extra points are awarded for placings.
HOW EASY IS THAT?
To enter, simply download the entry forms from the Forms & Fees page. Fill out the information and take the sheets with you to all rallies and ARC competitions you attend. Make sure you get an official to sign the sheets on the day. At the end of the competition year (1st July to 30th June) the forms need to be returned to A&ASP Inc. Points will be calculated and prizes will be awarded at the AGM in August.
There are two sections to enter:
1. ARC/English riding events.
These include ARC rallies, dressage, show jumping, horse trials, combined training days and hicksteads.
2. Special events.
These include novelties, games and navigation rides.
In addition to the two sections, the Adult Riding Club Competition is split by breed. There are two breed divisions:
1. Appaloosa.
2. Australian Spotted Pony.
Certificates are awarded to sixth place, in each breed division for each section and also overall. A $100 cash prize is presented to the overall winner (entrant with the most points).
